Cameras Rolling for Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk
Principal photography has started on the beaches of Dunkirk with our Irish boys out in front.
Cillian Murphy, Bary Keoghan and Kenneth Branagh are all gearing up in their army attire for Christopher Nolan's upcoming WWII biopic Dunkirk.
Cork man Cillian Murphy serves as a muse once again to Nolan in the pairs third collaboration. Written and directed by Nolan, Dunkirk recounts the events when thousands of British and Allied troops were cornered by enemy forces on the Northern France beach. As the enemies close in on them, the Allied forces must undertake an inconceivable mission to rescue their stranded men.
Aside from Nolan's expertise, one glance at Dunkirk's cast already promises that this film is award worthy. Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and the unusual casting of Harry Styles fill out the cast with the backing of Emma Thomas, Jake Myers and Nolan serving as producers.
Warner Bros are estimating that Dunkirk will be ready for release on July 21, 2017.
