Black Manta will be the Villain of Aquaman
Aquaman’s comic book arch nemesis will make his silver screen debut in the 2018 DC superhero feature film.
As more new superhero movie information trickles in, news that Black Manta will oppose Aquaman dropped today. The king of Atlantis’ rogues gallery is scant, especially compared to the robust cast of villains from Batman, but Black Manta stands out, probably thanks to his eerie manta ray-shaped diving helmet. Like Lex Luthor, Manta lacks superhuman abilities, but utilizes tools and wits to combat a super powered foe.
Aquaman will be directed by James Wan, with a script by Will Beall. Jason Momoa, known for his portrayal of Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, will star as the titular hero.
