Bets Are Off on Aidan Turner Becoming 007

Betting agents are calling off the shots on Aidan Turner becoming the next 007.
With an increased influx of bets coming in on Turner's chance at donning the Bond tuxedo, Boyle Sports have suspended bets on the matter. The red hot favorite Turner looks almost surely set to replace Daniel Craig as the next Bond. People are so assured of Turner as the MI5 choice that someone planted a four-figure sum on the chance.
A spokesperson for Boyles Sport, Liam Glynn commented on the Turner/007 betting fever; "After suspending the betting on Tuesday due to a massive surge of support for Aidan Turner, that included a four figure bet at 2/5 to become the next James Bond, we have opened back up the market this morning but cut Turner into the red hot 1/5 favourite to be drinking his Martini’s 'Shaken Not Stirred'.”
If the betting ratios translate into a reality that means Turner will have succeeded over the impressive competition such as Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Jamie Bell. Boyle Sports are taking no chances with the spike in interest with Glynn further remarking; "There is no smoke without a fire and it certainly looks like Turner has been in negotiations with the Bond producers and it will be interesting to see how long we will be able to keep the market open for.”
With Sam Mendes confirming his departure from the franchise and Craig stating that he'd 'rather slash my wrists' than play Bond again, the iconic film series will see a whole revival in production and cast. Aidan Turner for the Bond taking? We'll drink a martini to that!
