Benicio del Toro Steps Down From the New Predator Movie
His replacement has some shoes to fill.
Shane Black is directing The Predator, a new film in the long running Predator franchise. Not much is known about the film, but Black wants to capture the same sense of wonder audiences felt watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind. That’s some serious ambition, but it’s certainly a welcome feeling.
Benicio del Toro was set to act in the film, but stepped out of the film for unknown reasons, though we suspect it was due to a scheduling conflict. Fortunately, a new star has already stepped in to take over del Toro’s role–Narcos’ Boyd Holbrook.

The Predator will begin filming in 2017 and will release in 2018.
