A new Sky Ireland app lets TV lovers share their favourite programmes with like-minded viewers. The appropriately named SKY SHARE gives you recommendations based on your own viewing habits and what your friends are watching. It also gives you the ability to record shows on Facebook. Sky Share app is free to use.
Fancy some beef stroganoff? A mouth-watering (or stomach-churning) app launched in the U.S. lets people pass on leftover food. Using LEFTOVERSWAP, take a picture of your uneaten grub, post the results to the app, and wait until a neighbour claims it. Whether people will be keen on eating the remains of someone else’s food remains to be seen, although it’s a worthy cause in a nation that wastes more than 40% of the food it produces.
The honchos behind YouTube are to release MIXBIT, a video creation app that lets you record up to 16 seconds of film, then edit clips together to make longer videos.
