Today on everything is getting a movie (previous winners include Battleship and Angry Birds), Sony Animation has unveiled more info about Emojimovie: Express Yourself.
The film has been announced for an 11 August 2017 U.S. release date and will star T.J. Miller (Deadpool, Silicon Valley) as Gene. Gene is the son of "meh" emojis, but unlike them, he has multiple expressions. Adventure ensues!
Sony Animation has posted a YouTube promo featuring Miller auditioning for the film.
