U2: Exclusive shots offer a glimpse into the past

Team HP are currently putting children at Christmas to shame with our counting-down-in-sleeps ahead of U2's arrival on the 3Arena stage (we're down to 3, folks!).
But rather than spending all our time looking forward, it's nice to look back every once in a while....way back.
These shots arrived on our desk courtesy of John Halnon, and have never been published before. In the current Collectors' Edition of Hot Press, however, we see Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry fresh-faced, playing in the UK at the turn of the 1980s. While we can't honestly say they haven't aged (sorry, boys) we reckon the same exuberance and energy they had then will be on show on Monday night.
