The Blades add Olympia date
Dublin new wave outfit are back this winter...
Last month, The Blades announced their plans to reunite for a rare show in Dublin's Olympia on December 13. Following a spectacular performance at the recent Philip Chevron Testimonial by frontman Paul Cleary, rumours had been circulating about a possible show by the lauded outfit.
As it transpired interest and anticipation was so high that the first date sold out sharpish. Thanks to the huge demand to see this seminal Irish band, Cleary and co have now added an additional date – yu can see them on Saturday December 14.
Tickets, priced at €26.50, go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, and you might want to make a move quickly to ensure your spot in the Olympia.
Paul will be joined by former members drummer Jake Reilly and bassist Brian Foley plus original brass section The Blue Brass (Frank Duff and Paul Grimes). Expect classics such as 'Downmarket', 'Ghost Of A Chance' and 'The Last Man In Europe'.
