Dolores O'Riordan announces new album release
Dolores O'Riordan has confirmed she'll be unleashing her new album, No Baggage, this August.
The Cranberries singer releases her second solo album, No Baggage, on August 21 on Cooking Vinyl.
The record will be available on CD and as a digital download, with the tracklisting looking like this: 'Switch Off The Moment', 'Skeleton', 'It’s You', 'The Journey', 'Stupid', 'Be Careful', 'Apple Of My Eye' (new version), 'Throw Your Arms Around Me', 'Fly Through', 'Lunatic', and 'Tranquilizer'.
O'Riordan admits the title is a bit tongue-in-cheek, with songs like 'Skeleton' alluding to the baggage people carry round.
In fact, she feels the album's one of the most honest recordings she's done: "I probably haven’t worn my heart on my sleeve like this since the second Cranberries album,” she says. “It’s at times very confessional and dealing with my true emotions. Everyone, through their experiences or their background, has had terrible moments where they think they can’t handle it. With this record I’m trying to show that, no matter how bad things may seem, it’s not really that bad in the big picture.”
