Mundy readies new album, posts web teasers
Mundy has finished recording his fourth album, which is due for release early next year, with online snippets revealing just what's in store...
Recorded at the famous Grouse Lodge studio and in the Cauldron with Joe Chester, the as-yet-untitled album will include 14 new tracks by the midlands singer/songwriter.
If you want to get a flavour of what the album is going to sound like, check out the studio report that Mundy has posted on YouTube, which includes two songs as a work in progress: the ballad 'Head Over Heels', plus another track, which is still without a title even though he wrote it nearly ten years ago!
Earlier this summer Mundy played a storming set at Oxegen and he’s uploaded a video of ‘Fever’ from that set, you can find it here.
Mundy is a busy man these days, as 2008 heads to a close he leaves the studio for trips to New York and France for some solo shows. In November, he's off the UK with Sharon Shannon and Damien Dempsey for the Magners Sessions.
Mundy and his band will preview some brand new material at shows in The Academy, Dublin on October 9 and 16. Tickets are on sale now, priced €25.
