50 years in the business, Simon is suggesting that he is now about to put down the pick.
His tour of Europe could be the farewell tour for the man who brought us classics like 'Graceland', 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'Sound of Silence'.
Simon has had an incredibly successful solo career as well his time in the duo Simon and Garfunkel who enjoyed some tremendous hits. He is currently touring Europe with his latest album Stranger to Stranger but it may be fans last time to see Simon live. Speaking to the New York Times, the 74 year-old admitted that touring has caused him excessive strain in the last few year; "Showbiz doesn’t hold any interest for me. None. It’s an act of courage to let go. I am going to see what happens if I let go," Simon expressed, "Then I’m going to see, who am I? Or am I just this person that was defined by what I did? And if that’s gone, if you have to make up yourself, who are you?"
Simon will complete this Stranger to Stranger European Tour with his composer wife Edie Brickell and will then decide where he goes from there.
So, if you haven't got your tickets yet to witness Paul Simon in Dublin's 3Arena this November 21, then there's no time like the present!
