The metal frontmen take The Beatles' classic track to a new realm of heavy
It's a wonder how it's taken this long for Marilyn Manson to put down his version of the Beatles heavy hitter, with his titular affinity with infamous Charles Manson. Teaming up with Rob Zombie in support of their second co-headlining US tour, the pair decided to mark the occasion with a song they would perform together each night.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Zombie stated, "We had been talking about doing something together for these shows — that he should come onstage during my set and we'd do a song. But we couldn't think of what song. After we talked, later that night I was home and I just thought the obvious song is Helter Skelter."
The White Album classic garnered unfortunate notoriety through Charles Manson in the 1960's, and has been covered by many acts through the years. Most notably by U2 in 1988 for their album Rattle and Hum.
