Info for students
Want a foot in the door of the entertainment and music industry?
Jump start your career by becoming a Hot Press student rep.
As a Hot Press student rep you’ll be an essential link between Hot Press and the student population of Ireland.
What will you do?
You’ll help us promote Hot Press by:
- building strong links with the students union and student societies on your campus
- providing us with localised information on events and opportunities to promote Hot Press
- developing a relationship with local retailers to drive Hot Press sales
- assisting us on our promotional campus visits, and at other events such as gigs, festivals and movie screenings throughout Ireland
What’s in it for you?
You’ll get to make contacts in the music and entertainment industries, get hands-on music marketing and promotion experience and learn to develop your skills in generating promotional ideas. It will look great on your CV, and help you get work experience while still in full-time education.
While not waged, perks include free CDs and film tickets, an annual subscription to Hot Press (worth €110), an annual subscription to hotpress.com (worth €20), and a free HOTPRESS yearbook (worth €20) which contains all the contacts and info on Ireland’s entertainment industry that you need to kickstart your career. In the past year, reps have worked with us at gigs such as Rodrigo y Gabriela, Josh Ritter, and even Electric Picnic.
Plus you’ll meet other student reps, the Hot Press crew and plenty of people on your campus that you might not otherwise meet.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for people with an outgoing personality, a passion for music, and an ambititious and innovative attitude.
So what are you waiting for?
