Starting out in 1977 as Ireland's answer to America's Rolling Stone and Britain's NME, Hotpress has gone on to forge its own unique identity on the news shelves while earning an international reputation for the quality of its music journalism.

Whilst ideally based to monitor the explosion in Irish popular music that followed on from the success of U2 - a band whose own life-span parallels that of the magazine - Hotpress has also offered authoritative coverage of the whole global village of music, with regular news, reports and interviews from cities and countries around the world.
From New York to Moscow and from trad to hip-hop, the Dublin based fortnightly has given equal space to young punks, cult heroes and the biggest names in popular music, making it the perfect one-stop-shop for discerning music consumers everywhere.
