Fox Avenue postpone Christmas show
The December 27 gig has been moved to February 25
Fox Avenue have just announced a postponement of their Christmas show at The Academy. The Dublin show was scheduled for next Monday but owing to the recent bad weather, it has been rescheduled for Friday February 25. It is not the first musical casualty of the heavy snowfall and, by the looks of things, it probably won’t be the last.
The band have issued the following statement:
“Bummer. You have no idea how excited we were about this show. We are doing this for our fans and we hope everybody understands, it's important to us that everybody gets to see this show and we have been working so hard on making it a very special performance. We are ready to go and would love to do it tomorrow if the circumstances would allow it.
“We will be holding a meet and greet directly after the show, which everybody in the venue will be able to attend. We are incredibly excited to kick off 2011 with all our new songs and our best live show yet. It’s a pity we can’t do it next week, but it’s only a couple of weeks away. It wouldn’t be fair to those who already have tickets and can’t make it because of the snow.”
Tickets purchased for the original date are valid for the new date. Tickets, priced at €14.50 inclusive of booking fee, are on sale now from Ticketmaster outlets and on [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].
