Theo Von reacts to Trump administration using his comment in deportation video: "Keep me out of your 'banger' videos"
“When it comes to immigration my thoughts and heart are a lot more nuanced than this video allows,” said Von.
Comedian and podcast host Theo Von has objected to a video shared by the Trump’s administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which used a snippet of him saying “Heard you got deported, dude — bye” to promote the agency’s deportation numbers.
The video was shared on X by DHS and displayed the caption “Bye”. It features Von’s comment, followed by the claim that 2 million illegal immigrants had been deported in the first 250 days of President Trump’s second term.
The video shows footage of arrests before cutting to a clip of Trump saying, “They simply stopped coming. They’re not coming anymore,” ending with the text “LEAVE NOW” over an image of a plane taking off.
“Yooo DHS I didn’t approve to be used in this,” said Von on X. “I know you know my address so send a check. And please take this down and keep me out of your ‘banger’ deportation videos.
