Kanye West Is "Serious" About Wanting To Be President, says John Legend

Kanye West is "serious" when he goes on about wanting to run for the US presidency in the year 2024, insists his mate John Legend.

In a now delated tweet, the controversial rapper had hinted that he wants to run for the presidency by sharing what appeared to be mocked-up campaign posters on his Twitter page. However, during the weekend, Kanye West hinted again by tweeting: “2024.”

“I think he’s serious. I’d guess he’d run as an independent, but he’s never told me anything about what party he would run from. But he’s said multiple times that he’s interested in running for president," John Legend said on the Dan Wootton Interview podcast

“I think that’s a part of why he likes Trump. I think he sees some aspects of himself in Trump and sees that Trump winning makes it feel like he could do it too.”

Kanye West may like cozying up to Donald Trump, but John Legend is clearly not a fan of the US President.

“I think it’s pretty overwhelming from the perspective of African Americans – we believe [Trump]’s a racist, we believe he’s not a good human being," he said during the Podcast.
