Zoé Basha performs 'Love is Teasin'' for Western AF session
Other acts to have performed live sessions for Western AF include Sierra Ferrell, Charley Crockett, Luke Grimes and Willi Carlisle – as well as Irish group The Mary Wallopers.
Dublin-based musician Zoé Basha has become the latest artist to feature on the influential live performance video channel Western AF – bringing her unique blend of American ragtime, Appalachian mountain songs, and traditional Irish music to a brand new audience.
"While we were over in Ireland, we had the chance to sit down with Zoé Basha and spend a little time in the presence of a truly powerful voice," Western AF wrote on social media, when sharing the video.
"No instruments and no distractions... Just Zoé, her voice, and a song that reminds you how much can be said with so little. All you need is a little peace and the patience to see the beauty in it."
Based in Laramie, Wyoming, Western AF has garnered a notable following online, for documenting "authentic modern singers and songwriters" – with a particular emphasis on lesser known artists. Across its YouTube channel, it has clocked up over 116 million views.
Other acts to have performed live sessions for Western AF include Sierra Ferrell, Charley Crockett, Luke Grimes, and Willi Carlisle – as well as Irish group The Mary Wallopers.
Following the release of her full-length debut, Gamble, last year – which was named The Guardian's Folk Album of the Month – Zoé was tipped as one of Hot Press's 'Hot For 2026' acts. In addition to her solo work, she also makes up one-third of Rufous Nightjar, alongside Anna-Mieke Bishop and Branwen Kavanagh.
