Ye Vagabonds to play Dublin's Vicar Street in 2023
The Mac Gloinn brothers and friends are returning to the Vicar Street stage in March following their gig in June 2022.
Irish folk sensations Ye Vagabonds have announced a show at Vicar Street, Dublin on March 31st, 2023 with support from Niamh Bury.
"Absolutely cant wait. Wont be doing many gigs next year so we want to make them all pretty special," the outfit (Diarmuid and Brían Mac Gloinn) posted to their Instagram page this morning.
Tickets on sale this Monday, December 5th at 10am via Ticketmaster.
Issued via Rough Trade’s River Lea imprint, Ye Vagabonds' most recent album Nine Waves further established the duo as one of the most quietly authoritative forces in Irish music this year, as they continue to expand their sound across a compelling collection of both traditional and original tracks.
As well as being familiar faces at sessions in Walsh’s in Stoneybatter and The Cobblestone in Smithfield, the brothers have found a hugely receptive fanbase outside the trad strongholds too – with Hozier having previously shared his appreciation for the pair with his couple-of-million Instagram followers.
They also have the honour of being the RTÉ Radio One Folk Awards’ most decorated act since its inception in 2018.
Mere weeks ago, they took home the Best Folk Album award for Nine Waves. The sibling-duo have received worldwide acclaim for their second album – a record that's filled with fine songs, beautifully layered harmonies and fine string arrangements.
Revisit our recent interview with the pair here.
