Wunderhorse withdraw from Fontaines D.C.'s Australian and New Zealand tour
Shame will take the band's place as the opener on the cancelled dates.
Wunderhorse have announced they can no longer support Fontaines D.C. on their Australian and New Zealand tour.
The band will also postpone their headline shows that were scheduled to begin in March.
“We want to thank Fontaines D.C. for taking us on this journey so far. We are grateful and humbled to have been offered such a great opportunity but, due to unforeseen personal circumstances, we are unable to make the trip in March,” they wrote on an Instagram story. “Instead, our good friends Shame will now open for Fontaines D.C.”
They confirmed that purchased tickets for their headline shows will remain valid, and refunds may be issued to those unable to attend the new dates, set to be announced “very soon.”
“Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to see you at our rescheduled dates in AUS & NZ,” they wrote.
Wunderhorse begin their North American tour today in New York City for their second album, Midas. They’ll kick off the UK and Ireland leg of their tour in May, and come to Dublin for two nights in August.
Tickets are available here.
