Winehouse drug-free at last?
The father of Amy Winehouse has claimed that the troubled singer has been drug-free for 12 months.
Amy’s father Mitch made the claim yesterday when he was talking to a group of British MPs about the cocaine market. Regarding her highly-publicised battles against drugs he said: "We were very fortunate. We were able to afford the best doctors, clinical psychologists, rehabilitation and hospitals.”
Winehouse has had several periods in rehab over the past couple of years, but she was able to sing as part of the BBC’s tv show on Strictly Come Dancing a few weeks ago, singing back-up for her teenage god-child Dionne Bromfield.
