Will Butler makes solo foray to Whelan's
Will Butler leaves the rest of Arcade Fire behind on April 25 when he makes his solo Irish debut in Whelan's.
Tickets priced €24 go on sale this Friday, with €1 from each going to Partners In Health, a global health organisation helping vulnerable communities around the world to break the cycle of poverty and disease.
Having "played arenas and giant fields last summer with a 12-piece, I'm really excited to fill small venues with a four-piece; we'll still be mighty loud," says Will whose Policy album is due in early March and, going by the various tasters, is a lively critter.
The reference will probably be lost on the under-40s, but we're wondering if he's a bit - or a lot - of a Mekons fan?
