Wiley Ways
Husband and wife duo play the blues
Wiley Ways by blues duo Hat Fitz & Cara is the result of what happens when you put a leather-lunged, bearded Aussie mountain man alonsigside an Irish-born folk singer with a tender tone and a keen ear for harmonies. The married couple’s rockin’ duet on ‘Company Underground’ is a standout, but the moonshine-infused title track and the Irish trad-influenced ‘Rusty River’ give it a close run for its money. Fitz’s vocals in particular are excellent and his ragged performances are reminiscent of Caleb from Kings Of Leon when he really cuts loose. Fans of Memphis Minnie, Skip James et al will love this.
