Waxahatchee announces headline show in Dublin's Vicar Street
Special guest for the evening will be Kansas singer-songwriter Anna St Louis.
American indie outfit Waxahatchee returns to Dublin with a Vicar Street show on August 1, 2024.
The brainchild of Alabama native Katie Crutchfield, the alt-country band has dropped six critically acclaimed albums since the project began over ten years ago.
Their newest offering, Tigers Blood, received an impress 8/10 on the Hot Press Critical Mass-o-meter upon its release in March, with Will Russell describing the LP as “simultaneously tender and robust” with “hooks aplenty”.
Crutchfield says that she wrote most of the songs on the full-length during a “hot hand spell,” while on tour at the end of 2022, reuniting with trusted producer Brad Cook to record the album.
Waxahatchee last took to the stage in the capital in 2022, headlining Dublin’s Pepper Canister Church while touring their 2020 studio opus Saint Cloud. The occasion marked their first Irish show in over eight years.
Tickets to see Waxahatchee at Vicar Street start from €34.50 and are on sale now via www.selectivememory.ie.
