Watch: Royksopp share new version of 'Monument' (feat. Robyn)
Also announce new album will be their last
Norwegian dance duo Royksopp have announced that their next album will be their last.
Fittingly titled The Inevitable End, the record will be the final work that Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland release as a traditional album.
Fear not, though; there will be more work to look forward to in the future. It will, they say, simply be released in different formats.
“We feel like this is a goodbye to the traditional album format," reads a statement from the band. "In our consecutive run of albums, we have been able to say what we want to say and do what we want to do with the LP. We’re not going to stop making music; but the album format as such, this is the last thing from us.”
To soften the blow, they've also released the video to a new edit of 'Monument', which originally featured on the Do It Again EP they released with fellow Scandinavian superstar Robyn. Check it out below...
