WATCH: 'Pothole in the Sky' from Lisa O'Neill

Here at Hot Press we are no stranger to the undeniable talent of Cavan singer/songwriter Lisa O'Neill and if you aren't familiar with her, it's time to acquaint your ears to her hypnotic sound.
The video for 'Pothole in the Sky', the title track from her upcoming album of the same name, was launched yesterday. O'Neill's introspective lyrics and raw vocals are complemented wholly by a video that comprises of old film footage. This intriguing video conception is a collaboration between O'Neill and artist Jason Kearney. The pair had previously worked together on O'Neill's album artwork and thus, O'Neill had every faith in Kearney to deliver the desired effect for 'Pothole in the Sky'.
"After discovering Jason Kearney's work last year, I asked him to design my album cover. With very little over and back, he was finished and it was beautiful beyond my imagination," O'Neill remarks, "So moved and inspired by this image, I proposed he make a music video for the title track of the record. It has been my privilege to collaborate with Jason."

In the run-up to the release of Pothole in the Sky on April 22, O'Neill has announced that she will be traveling nationwide with the album. She is set to play Whelan's on Friday, March 22.
