WATCH: Patricia Lalor shares video for reworked single 'Vessel (B-Side)' via Atlantic Records

Wexford music sensation Patricia Lalor has shared a stunning lo-fi electronic alternative version of her recently released song ‘Vessel’ - her debut release on Atlantic Records.

‘Vessel (b-side)’ showcases Patricia’s adept production skills and transforms the delicate acoustic tones and imposing string section of the original track into a warped electronic affair with warm bass, twisted samples and haunting vocal harmonies complimenting her pensive musings.

The accompanying video reflects the dark and dreamy track with a chilling performance from Patricia on an isolated beach among pulsating visuals. Dystopian, ambient and cinematic; the clip uses juxtaposed imaging and colour palettes alongside Lalor's hypnotic vocals, jarring the viewer.

“‘Vessel’ is a song I wrote about how the world perceives you, about how it expects you to grow up and mould to what’s happening around you / to you. I wrote it to kind of get a better understanding of it all but it just kind of made it all more messed up,” Lalor says of her latest single.

The indie star has announced two headline shows for October 2021 - Dublin’s Smock Alley on the 25th and London's Courtyard Theatre on October 28th, with tickets on sale now.

Discussing the shows, Patricia says, “I’m excited to get back on stage again - especially because I’ll be playing with my band for the first time and I won’t be a loner on stage anymore!”

The teenager released a trio of critically acclaimed EPs in 2020 including This Is How We Connect, While You Stand So Tall, Do It Again and Sleep Talk, which saw the Enniscorthy musician tipped as the next Billie Eilish, while also drawing comparisons to the likes of Warpaint, beabadoobee and Clairo.

She turned the heads of tastemakers, with champions at Radio 1 including Jack Saunders and Annie Mac, as well as achieving huge support from Hot Press in her Irish homeland. Patricia was also included in our Hot for 2021 list of Irish acts and received major support from playlist champions Spotify.
