WATCH: Paramore perform 'This Is Why' on Jimmy Fallon
The band's sixth studio album will come out on February 10th 2023.
US pop-punk band Paramore appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night as the musical guest. Members Hayley Williams, Zac Farro and Taylor York performed the titular track of their upcoming album This Is Why, due February 10th via Atlantic Records.
After five years off, Paramore is back and better than ever. They announced a new album in September, along with the single and a music video directed by Brendan Yates. The song was recorded in LA with Carlos de la Garza, producer of their self titled album and After Laughter. He also worked with Williams on her solo projects Petals for Amor and Flowers for Vases/ Descansos.
Of the single, Williams said, "It summarises the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last three or four years. You’d think after a global pandemic of fucking biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic or something."
The group have announced a UK/Ireland tour, bringing them to Ireland for the first time in four years. They will perform at 3Arena on the 13th of April.
