The Dublin band have released a new video for 'Long Way From Home'.
South Dublin five-piece the Hot Sprockets just released a new video for 'Long Way From Home'. The Neil Young-esque country ballad was one of the highlights from 2011 album Honey Skippin'.
The video was filmed by Luke Sweetman, Matt Nicastle, Drew Nicastle, Anthony Brophy, Michael Somers and The Hot Sprockets, and is a tribute to a really good friend of the band Matt Nicastle.
"This video is dedicated to our good friend Matt Nicastle. He knew us before we became a band, before some of us could play an instrument. I know he loved this song; it could be because he saw how far we had come as a band, since the very first days belting out old school classics in the smoking area of pubs to the guerilla gigs on the streets and at house parties. Matt, Luke, and ourselves had grown artistically together, we inspired each other and looked up to each other. There was a connection there that will never leave us. He's our blood brother, our soul mate, our homeslice." Tim Cullen (The Hot Sprockets)
