WATCH: Missy Elliott’s latest single, featuring Pharrell

In the decade between her last solo album and her show-stealing appearance at Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show this year, Missy Elliott has been relatively quiet, writing and producing for other artists and making the occasional guest appearances on tracks for artists like Janet Jackson, Ciara and Pitbull.
‘WTF’ is the first song in years where Ms.Elliott takes the lead – but the contagious tune shows she hasn’t lost her touch. Elliott is known for her frank, unapologetic but also playful lyrics, layered over thumping bass beats.
Yesterday also shared the song’s music video, which is another rare treat we can enjoy from the rapper-singer, who hasn’t released a music video in seven years.
The video features Pharrell Williams and gives nostalgic nods to her past songs for the nostalgia crowd, including a lyrical wink to ‘Pass That Dutch.’
