The High Kings release 'The Rocky Road To Dublin – The Celtic Remix'
The song first won global attention after featuring in the 2025 blockbuster Sinners
Irish folk group The High Kings have released a Celtic remix of their song 'The Rocky Road To Dublin'.
The tune gained international attention after being featured in the 2025 hit film Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan. The movie was No. 1 at the box office during its opening week, and became the highest-grossing original film since the pandemic.
'The Rocky Road To Dublin' prompted a resurgence of interest in Irish folk among new audiences worldwide.
“Releasing this reimagined version of 'Rocky Road to Dublin' is so exciting for us,” The High Kings shared.
“We never expected the reaction Sinners had received, but it’s been incredible to see so many new fans across the world connecting with Irish folk music in such a big way. Our Celtic remix takes things up a notch—it’s bold, energetic, and hopefully it’s exactly what they’ve been waiting for,” they added.
Their latest release follows the band's eighth studio album, The Road Not Taken (2023), which debuted at No. 1 in Ireland’s independent charts.
Last November, the four-piece embarked on their Step It Out world tour, with dates in Germany, the UK, Scotland, North America, and Australia, including six shows across Ireland.
Currently, the group are performing a string of shows in the US, after which they will move on to Australia to complete their tour in September.
