WATCH: Hozier before he was famous
Long before 'Take Me To Church' took over the world, Andrew Hozier-Byrne was belting out Pink Floyd songs with gusto!
In the new issue of Hot Press out today, we talk to some of the people who've been pivotal in getting Andrew Hozier-Byrne to the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
As his manager Caroline Downey points out, there's no such thing as 'an overnight' sensation with Hozier performing with myriad groups before striking out on his own.
We've managed to track down four pre-fame clips of the man bun-less Hozier performing with Zaska, Anuna and Nova Collective.
In the piece, Caroline also talks about the SXSW 2014 showcase gig in St. David's Church in Austin, which changed everything for him in the States.
Finally, we've a sketch from Cork's Derrynane Robot Club whose members starred in the 'Take Me To Church' video.
Stay tuned to hotpress.com for more Hozier-inspired raiding of the video vaults!
