Maverick Sabre pays tribute to Jake Hall: "We set out to create a family and whoever entered became YOURS"

Maverick Sabre has paid tribute to his late friend Jake Hall in a post on Instagram. Hall and Sabre were part of music collective YOURS along with Hall's brother Sonny and New Machine (Adam Jordan).

YOURS have released a live version of their 2024 album, What's Mine is YOURS, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The record artwork was painted by Hall during the recording session for the LP.

Sabre shared an insight into the creation of the album in a statement.

"Jake, Sonny, Adam and myself made an album in a week and Defected believed in the madness.

"this was the peak of that journey, a band full of friends with Jake painting what would be the album cover in the middle of Abbey Road.

"We set out to create a family and whoever entered became YOURS. If you haven’t listened to the full start to finish performance don’t miss out.

"Rest in power Jake Hall."

YOURS also shared a post paying tribute to Hall, and dedicated the live album to his daughter, River.

"Dedicated to brother Jake Hall.

"Family was always at the centre of the Yours collective. From the birth of it and throughout the journey of ups and downs. We always spoke about merging art, fashion and music and whoever wanted to join us with that intention became a part of the family too.

"In memory of Jake Hall. Dedicated to River."
