It is in support of a campaign to end world poverty.
Ed Sheeran has recorded a nifty cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Masters Of War’ for the agit8 campaign, which is calling on western leaders to help end extreme poverty by 2030.
It’s being mounted by Bono’s ONE organisation, which also has the musical support of Tom Morelo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Amadou & Mariam, Disiz & Freddy Evans, Kid Rock, Sean Lennon, Rea Garvey, One Direction and Elvis Costello and Mumford & Sons who’ve collaborated on a killer cover of Bruce’s ‘The Ghost Of Tom Joad’.
Talking of the Mumford boys, best Hot Press wishes go out to bassist Ted Dwane who’s receiving emergency hospital treatment in the States for an emergency bloodclot on his brain.
