Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and John Legend were among the artists who performed as part of yesterday's Celebrating America special – honouring the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Performing at the Lincoln Memorial, Springsteen opened the Tom Hanks-hosted special with 'Land Of Hope And Dreams', played solo on acoustic guitar:
Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons teamed up to perform their new song 'Better Days' from the Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Memphis, Tennessee.
Foo Fighters performed 'Times Like These', following a speech by Dave Grohl thanking teachers – including shout-outs to his mother, Virginia Grohl, and Dr. Jill Biden.
Demi Lovato paid homage to the late great Bill Withers – performing his classic 'Lovely Day' in front of a panel of screens featuring socially-distanced backing vocalists.
John Legend, meanwhile, played a rendition of 'Feeling Good' on a grand piano near the Lincoln Memorial.
The celebrations also saw Jon Bon Jovi cover The Beatles' 'Here Comes The Sun'.
Austin band The Black Pumas performed their 'Colors' – a track from their Grammy-nominated self-titled debut album.
Country stars Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard teamed up to share the live debut of their timely new song 'Undivided'.
Finally, Katy Perry closed the Celebrating America special with her hit single 'Fireworks' – featuring a sky full of fireworks over the Washington Monument and the Reflection Pool, as Biden, Harris, and their families watched.
The day also featured performances from Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks during the swearing-in ceremony, as well as the recently reunited New Radicals, who performed as part of an Inauguration Day 'virtual parade':
