Indie-pop band Brand New Friend have been making serious waves over the last few years – building up an impressive live profile, as well as support slots for the likes of Snow Patrol, Lewis Capaldi and Kodaline. The band’s most recent EP, A Cure For Living, arrived in February, following 2018’s Seatbelts for Aeroplanes.

"We’ve covered ‘Wonderful Remark’, which was on the soundtrack of The King Of Comedy, one of my mate Andy's favourite films. He used to sing it all the time on the way out of the pub. He taught me it and it became our drunken anthem. It's a beautiful melody and lyrically I thought it was kind of appropriate for the times we're living in now. I also wanted to hear Lauren's harmonies all over it!"
