Brand New Friend announce Dublin gig and new EP
The Northern Irish quintet will play Fibber Magees in Dublin on March 5 and release their long-awaited new EP: ‘A Cure For Living’.
‘A Cure For Living’ is Brand New Friend’s first studio release since 2018’s ‘Seatbelts For Aeroplanes’ and is bursting with their trademark bubblegum-pop energy.
In honour of the EP’s release, the band also gives us a new single: ‘Plastic Flowers’, which comes along with a message for their Snow Patrol mentor.
“Gary Lightbody gave me his copy of the book ‘Grab On To Me Tightly, As If I Knew The Way’ by Bryan Charles & asked me to write a song about it.” explains Taylor Johnson, half of the brother/sister vocalist duo. ‘Plastic Flowers’ is like my present to him! He’s not heard it yet, but the second he does he’ll know what it’s about."
