Watch: Al Pacino in Phil Spector trailer

Phil Spector centres around the trial and conviction of troubled music producer Phil Spector for the second-degree murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2013.

The film is written and directed by David Mamet, and stars Al Pacino as the troubled producer, and Helen Mirren as Spector's attorney Linda Kenney Baden. Pacino last worked with director Mamet on 1992 drama Glengarry Glen Ross.

Jeffrey Tambor, Clara Mamet and Rebecca Pidgeon also star.

According to reports, Phil Spector was approached by producers to consult for the movie, but he declined any involvement.
