Taking place in the Townhall at 1WML, an iconic structure at the heart of the Windmill QTR, this unique Hot Press treat is the latest in a line of acclaimed gigs, following performances from Damien Dempsey, James Vincent McMorrow, LYRA, Gavin James, Lisa Hannigan, The Coronas, Hothouse Flowers, The Academic, Moncrieff and more, at one of Dublin’s most rock ‘n’ roll coordinates.
In addition to two Mercury Prize nominations, Villagers' Conor O'Brien has earned two Ivor Novello awards, a Choice Music Prize, and hundreds of millions of streams across what's been a remarkable career to date.
That Golden Time, Villagers' sixth album, was praised by Hot Press as "another winning effort" from the boundary-pushing Dublin artist and his band.
O'Brien has since published his first book, Passing a Message – a special collection of lyrics and artwork.
