Vesta Varro scoop Canadian prize
Limerick lads Vest Varro have returned triumphant from Canadian Indie Week, having won the top prize for Best Live Act.
The fivesome bagged over $5,000 worth of prizes for at the industry event last week, after competiting against three other bands in the final who had home turf advantage.
The prize package included $900 cash, a guitar, a bass and musical equipment and services.
"We are delighted as this gives us the chance to get our album released in Canada and to tour over there," they gush.
The international acclaim comes after a warm welcome for their debut album Exit Here, which garnered an impressive 8.5/10 in these very pages.
