Van Morrison, U2/Brian Eno, and The Boomtown Rats' Record Store Day releases to raise funds for War Child
£1 (€1.20) from every copy sold will be donated to the non-profit organisation.
Record Store Day has announced that 13 of its upcoming 2025 releases will raise funds for War Child, a charity focused on helping children affected by conflict.
Among the special releases is a 10" vinyl edition of Van Morrison’s Be Just and Fear Not, featuring three tracks from his Live at Orangefield shows, which the artist felt worked best as a standalone release.
The Boomtown Rats' Dawn of the Rats: B-Sides Demos And Live 1975-1979 and U2/Brian Eno's Passengers Original Soundtracks 1 (30th Anniversary Remastered Edition) are also included in the list.
Announcing the news on social media, Record Store Day wrote: "£1 (€1.20) from every copy sold will be donated to help protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict around the world."
Other notable titles for RSD 2025 include The Cure's 40th Anniversary version of their 1985 album The Head On The Door, a tenth anniversary edition of CHVRCHES' Every Open Eye, and a new edition of Frank Turner’s Positive Songs For Negative People.
The new releases will be available to buy in-store from 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 (Record Store Day).
Remaining copies will be available to buy online from 8 p.m. on Monday April, 14.
