U2 honours London firefighters with a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals
In recognition of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire, U2 invited London's firefighters to attend their rehearsals for gigs in Twickenham this weekend.
This weekend, as U2 hit London, the next stop on their tour, they invited some special guests to attend their rehearsals. An audience of as many as 50 London firefighters got to attend an intimate rehearsal performance, and were greeted by Bono afterward. The set list included classics like "Where The Streets Have No Name" and "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For." Noel Gallagher was also there with his band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, though he didn't play during the rehearsal gig, preferring to watch from the sound booth.
Only a few days left before U2 come home to play their massive gig at Croke Park. We'll be counting down here at Hot Press with some of our classic U2 covers- stay tuned.
