Two bands share vinyl single
Up-and-coming Dublin bands Scarecrow Disco and The Hot Sprockets are releasing a joint limited edition 7” vinyl single on their own label Go Splitsy Records.
The release will contain an A-side from each band, “Your Parrot’s Low on Batteries” by Scarecrow Disco and “Honey Skippin’” by The Hot Sprockets.
The single will be launched on April 16 in The Village, Dublin, and the first 200 people in the door will get the limited edition vinyl. Tickets are €10 and will be available at the door or from WaV tickets (1890 200 078). Both tracks will also be available in mp3 formats at all good digital stores.
Scarecrow Disco and The Hot Sprockets rounded off a busy 2009 with featured tracks on a 14-song compilation of Dublin's hottest unsigned acts. “Sleep Shake” by The Hot Sprockets was picked out as the key track by Hot Press’ Jackie Hayden. He also gave a more than favourable mention to Scarecrow Disco's ‘Sign Of The Times’, attributing a 'madcap, unputdownable zest' to this live favourite of the group.
