Track of the Day: Isaac Butler - ‘Heart of Gold’

Rising Irish artist Isaac Butler releases his hot new single today, ‘Heart of Gold.’ Traversing relatable territory with an anthemic pop chorus and electric instrumentals made for live amplification, the new track bolsters an already strong career for the young Dublin artist.

At the centre of ‘Heart of Gold’ – and Butler’s entire discography – is the singer’s passion for connecting with people. Especially the people in his audience, which amounts to an impressively ever-growing number.

Of his newest song, Butler affably shares, “I’m a pretty hopeless romantic! I’ve been in relationships that I’ve loved but always seem to make quite the mess of it. ‘Heart of Gold’ is a song about my pursuit of love with a little sprinkle of panic! There’s a line in the pre-chorus, ‘My dad said son, you’ll find the one,’ that was a genuine conversation that happened and it was my Dad essentially calming me down because I was genuinely stressed about finding someone. I’m an overthinker! So it was having a bit of an effect on me. ‘Heart of Gold’ was my way of telling myself that it’ll all work out, funny enough it still hasn’t though!”

Over the past few years, the independent pop singer-songwriter has had his head deep in the music: he’s toured the country, sold out venues like Whelans’, The Grand Social and The Soundhouse, and recently opened for Lyra at the 3Olympia for Rock Against Homelessness. Butler has earned over 3 million Spotify streams with his singles thus far, most recently gaining traction with the release of ‘On The Run.’
