Track of the Day: Nnic - "8th Wonder"
Our Track of The Day comes from Irish singer Nnic and her latest single, "8th Wonder".
Dublin neo-soul artist Nnic (Naoise Fitzgerald) has been making waves in the Irish music scene ever since the release of her debut single "Pillars" earlier this year. The track which took female empowerment as its theme went on to reach 200k streams on Spotify. In her own words it provides a "homage to faceless women who selflessly uplift and support others."
No stranger to live performances, Nnic has also supported big names in Irish music including Hozier and Wyvern Lingo.
Her latest release, "8th Wonder" produced by Adam O’Regan & Dylan Lynch, is a fitting follow up to her steady stream of successes.
In her latest single, Nnic gives us a reflection on searching, yearning and wonder infused with smooth-snyth beats. With over 10 years of classical voice training to her name, the entrancing sound of "8th Wonder" fuses with gorgeous vocals to provide a melancholic reverie.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the song, Nnic said, "8th Wonder is about getting comfortable with feelings of uncertainty in order to build a life that has intrinsic value".
One thing, however, is certain, "8th Wonder" is a quality track sure to make waves in the coming weeks.
