Hot Press Track of the Day: Jealous of the Birds - 'Tonight I Feel Like Kafka'

Jealous of the Birds aka Co Armagh's Naomi Hamilton earlier this year showcased her rock side with great track 'Plastic Skeletons'. However, new song 'Tonight I Feel Like Kafka' finds the musician in more introspective mode.

"It's two in the morning I wanna drink wine / Couldn't be any more hipster If I tried," is the first in a string of comedic lines in the track - which seems to focus on Hamilton's worry she's not enough for her loved ones.

Nervous synths and soft acoustic guitars capture the sense of middle of the night sleepy worry. Hamilton's full voice makes the chorus of "It scares me to think that you baby don't look at me that way" emotionally affecting.

The track can be listened to below. It's part of Jealous of the Birds' new EP The Moths of What I Want Will Eat Me In My Sleep. The release also features the aforementioned 'Plastic Skeletons'.
