Armagh musician Odhran Murphy's track features on Love Island
Odhran Murphy's single 'Stars' was played on the hit dating show last Wednesday.
With viral TikTok videos and a publishing deal under his belt, Odhran Murphy has been on the rise over the past year. After his new single was played on Love Island last week, it seems that the sky's the limit for the 23-year-old.
Murphy's new track 'Stars' was featured on the hit ITV show during Gemma and Luca's re-coupling, arriving as complete surprise to the Armagh native.
"It meant the world to me," he says. "It was so surreal, quite a pinch me moment to be honest."

The song’s stirring emotional sentiment has resonated with viewers, thousands of whom turned to Shazam during the show to find the track.
With ardent lyricism and captivating vocals, 'Stars' is delicately vulnerable yet completely self-assured. Inspired by the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman, Murphy has managed to find a sweet spot between a contemporary pop song and a timeless power ballad.
The singer-songwriter recently won a competition on Dermot Kennedy's Instagram, and has also landed himself a publishing deal with the brand behind Hozier, Evolving Music in Dublin. He will play Indiependence festival in Cork later this month.
"I may have one more release before the summer is out," he says. "Keep an eye out. It's a good one!"
