Tiger Talk
THESE BLONDES ARE HAVING LOTS OF FUN
Hailing from Kelowna, Canada, Yukon Blonde specialise in summery, early ‘70s-era rock ‘n’ roll and after releasing a string of well thought of EPs over the last six years, they unleash their first proper full length effort Tiger Talk this issue. Calling to mind the likes of 10cc and more modern acts like Blitzen Trapper, their album is a much needed shot of sonic sunshine. While at times it can sound a little same-y (‘For LA’’ ‘Iron Fist’) the likes of the utterly infectious ‘Stairway’ will win them an army of fans for the up-coming festival season.
