Thurston Moore & John Maloney for Whelans

Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore and Sunburned Hand of The Man drummer John Moloney will play a special Whelans show on Saturday, January 19.

U;mack are kicking off 2013 in style with a special live collaboration from the duo who will perform a totally improvised set. While neither Thurston or John don't have anything in the way of formal musical training, they are both capable of producing stun-level blasts of pure-zonar energy.

Tickets are now available from the Wav Box Office, and are priced at €15. Doors open at 7.30pm.
