The Secret Sisters Announce Gig in Whelan’s

The Alabama singer-song writer siblings have recovered from a disastrous patch in their career.
Following the release of their second album, they went from touring with Bob Dylan to losing their label, purging their team and for filing bankruptcy in just a few short months.
However, they have managed to turn things around with their third LP You Don't Own Me Anymore.
It is their first album signed to record label New West and differs lyrically in tone to their previous work. Its focus is upon hardship, redemption and pushing forward.
Speaking about the album, one half of the duo Laura Rogers has said they are "more proud of these songs than we have ever been”.
There are some angry tracks on the record that are "pointed and honest and direct” that involved the sisters letting themselves be angry again in order to “bring up things we wanted to forget".
The sisters believe that by writing a record they have "completely healed". Nowadays, they feel as though their failures taught them "where not to be, and where to go".
